Greetings from Paris! Pat and I reached Paris by train last Wednesday, almost to our surprise since our heads were so absorbed in India travel planning. But what a great surprise! We've done a lot of touristy things and also the things we like to do everywhere we go- wander around, drink coffee, and eat. Luckily, these activities match Paris excellently: Paris is very dense/highly walkable, has loads of cafes, and cheese and bread... you can't go wrong. Here are some photos from one of our days in Paris. We also stopped by Notre Dame (no hunchback), Chateau de Versailles (a giant castle with ridiculously large gardens), the Louvre (from the outside), and walked down the mega shopping street, Champs-
Elysées.

View of Sacre Coeur Basilica from the bottom. Yes,
there really are merry-go-rounds everywhere. No, we have
not ridden on any... yet. |

Next stop, Delhi! Also, thanks to everybody who's helped with planning
our India trip and offered so much good advice. India will definitely
be a new kind of travel but we've had lots of guidance and we're feeling
mostly prepared and definitely excited. We'll try to post lots of
pictures for you to follow along!
